From body to soul
JJK: What comes first – a full belly or meditation? What is more important?
ARCHANGEL JOPHIEL: You are blessed and with you are blessed all people who draw down the blessing of GOD upon themselves.
Give people food first! First comes the food for the body, only then is there enough energy to nourish the soul.
The opposite way is reserved only for a few adepts. For the vast majority of people who act out the wheel of karma, that are in the midst of life and have to fight for daily survival, the path to spirituality leads through the belly.
Those who are hungry suffer unimaginable agony and are no longer capable of anything other than thinking about food with every fiber of their bodies.
With such a person, everything revolves around naked survival. This person finds it disrespectful and insulting to refer to prayer or meditation to escape the predicament. In fact, it is a disregard and insult. Because whoever argues in this way has not understood the hardship behind such a struggle for survival.
JJK: That is, people and organizations working at this level are very important!
ARCHANGEL JOPHIEL: This shows that people are there for people and that the poor and needy receive concrete help, valuable care and human attention.
JJK: “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” (Mt 25:40)

ARCHANGEL JOPHIEL: The point is to become sensitive to the suffering and misery of our fellow human beings and, if possible, to contribute to alleviating it.
It is irrelevant that some people do this for opportunistic reasons, and it should be irrelevant to you whether organizations develop a lucrative business model out of it. What is important is that you are willing to look at this injustice and try to alleviate it with your means and possibilities.
JJK: Now, of course, there are also people who feign need. Especially in our latitudes, this can be observed again and again with the immense influx of “new settlers”.
ARCHANGEL JOHPIEL: That is a fact. Where there is true need, there are always people who feign their own neediness in order to profit from the assistance in this way.
Even this should not prevent you from doing good. Those who want to deceive you always end up deceiving themselves.
Whether mental or physical poverty, what it comes down to is adopting a healthy, compassionate and humane attitude toward the suffering that faces you.
“Inner distance” and compassion
JJK: How to avoid being dragged down by the suffering of the world itself. Because to suffer along is probably no solution – but to feel along is!
But how can you keep this “inner distance” and still remain full of love?
ARCHANGEL JOPHIEL: For those who have no existential worries and needs, meditation is the key. Consciousness work in meditation – that is how you always stay oriented and remove the weeds even before they can spread.
Do you know your place, your assignments? Have you sensed your purpose in life? That’s what it is all about, everything else happens by itself.
Avoid esoteric advice
JJK: It seems important to me not to give clever esoteric advice out of a false spiritual superiority, like “Pray and everything will be fine!”, “Think positively, open the field for abundance and everything will fall into place!” or “What does your situation tell you?”
If someone is at the bottom and doesn’t know how they will survive tomorrow, then this advice is really nothing but blows….
ARCHANGEL JOPHIEL: It takes wisdom and spiritual maturity to be able to correctly classify the fate of the individual, to feel how it feels to be in someone else’s shoes. The hours on the meditation carpet are not decisive for this, what is decisive is the spiritual maturity of the person.
JJK: Best to help in a concrete way instead of dispensing wisdom?
ARCHANGEL JOPHIEL: Don’t worry about what others think of you, don’t worry about whether your help always reaches the right person or whether it is misused. You cannot see into every human heart or immediately recognize all intentions. Just be aware that there are many people who need help in one way or another.
Whether someone is starving mentally or physically, the symptoms are similar: while the body dies, the soul has a very painful experience. The soul also needs to be healed after an incarnation in great lack.
So go and give a portion of what you have to those who have nothing like it.
Do not expect anything and do not adorn yourselves with deeds, because humanity and compassion need no witnesses beside GOD.
